In March, the entire NingBo NJ Hydraulic Adapter Co., Ltd team embarked on an unforgettable 2-day, 1-night retreat at China’s famed Hengdian World Studios in Jinhua—blending cultural immersion with spirited team competitions that strengthened cross-departmental bonds.

Day 1: A Journey Through Cinematic History

The adventure began with a tour of Hengdian’s iconic Qin Dynasty Palace, where employees walked through grand imperial halls used in blockbuster films like Hero and The Mummy 3. The group then explored the sprawling Ming-Qing Palace, marveling at its replica Forbidden City architecture.

Highlights included:

Eight Banners Cavalry Show: An adrenaline-packed reenactment of ancient battlefield horsemanship.

Mountain Flood Performance: A stunning display of special effects simulating a catastrophic flood.

"Iron Flower Flaming": The night culminated with this intangible cultural heritage spectacle, where molten iron was struck to create a shower of golden sparks against the dark sky—a metaphor for our team’s collaborative spark.

Day 2: Military-Themed Team Challenges

At Hengdian’s military training base, departments competed in:

Energizing "Rabbit Dance" warm-up – Laughter erupted as teams synchronized quirky hopping moves.

Tug-of-War Championship – Production, Packaging, and office team divisions battled fiercely, with production team claiming victory.

The Giant's Steps – It is a competition that tests the cohesion and coordination of a team. The office team won by a one-point advantage.

"Piggyback Race" – The husband carried his wife on his back and ran back and forth quickly, demonstrating the corporate culture of "family first".

Post-event surveys showed 89% of staff reported improved interdepartmental relationships, with particular praise for activities that paired unlikely colleagues (like officers vs. production workers in the Tug-of-war competition).

This excursion reflects our commitment to blending cultural education with team cohesion—a strategy that’s contributed to our 28% reduction in cross-departmental workflow bottlenecks this year. Want to see highlights? Browse our photo gallery as below !
